That's a great guitar as well. If I'm reading my numbers right, this guitar is numbered next to John Williams's '59 315, 2V291.

Hmmm, this one was for sale too. It was part of a large Rickenbacker collection. 33 or so instruments, I believe. I'd love to have this one since it's serial number is one before my '59 315 but I'm not in "buying mode" at this time, lol.

This is one with a wide Flame Birch Body. Amazing how some of these were never played.

Something the seller is not disclosing: the binding has come loose on the inside upper part of the lower cut-away, lower horn. Look closely at the picture of the front and back side photos.

Here's what the seller sent back as a reply when I asked them about the loose binding on the lower horn.

Well Vintagemusicgear bought the one in Ohio for 15K plus...Let's see what his other one goes for. I'd be interested in seeing the binding repair photos since this is a very delicate thing to fix properly without disrupting the originality of the Capri....

Good point Dale.

$15K, and they (VMG) think there's more in it still...

If memory serves me correctly, I believe that the person behind vintagemusicgear is a Forum member who posts infrequently...usually when something is for sale.

Nah, its not him, he just trolls the Forum as a guest and feeds off it for Rick leads. He never contributes and is not a member. He was kicked off and banned for not playing well with others some time ago...

If he picked up the leads from this forum to buy the one in Ohio, I'm sorry I posted the personal review of it. I would much rather have seen it go to an appreciate, contributing forumite here like Dr. Bob or Graham.
