My sub, A Picture of Her, though recorded last year, is 25 years old!

Thanks for the inclusion.

I really like all of the submissions & yours Jerry is a really great tune. My submission is around 10 years old, although recorded a lot more recently.

BTW, my own is first on the CD, but this was actually because when I was working on the album, I used mine as a reference for the sole reason that it was mastered at Abbey Road (still one of the best mastering facilities in the world). As you know, I don't claim to be a mastering engineer, as it is a bit of a dark art (although I am putting a tremendous amount of work in to this area, as it is something that interests me. I have been buying some gear solely for mastering purposes recently), so I needed a reference. I got so used to the running order, that I just left it....so apologies to those that think I'm showing favouritism!!!
'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.

I definitely want a copy of this CD. How does one buy a copy and from whom?

Tony and I will be working out the details for that.

Once again gents I want to thank you all for your tireless effort on this project. Some of the folks on the list have posted links and I have enjoyed their stuff and others have not posted but I am sure I will enjoy their Ricken-tunes as well... this will be cool! Thanks for taking on the challenge! Ladies and gentlemen get your credit cards and Paypal accounts ready!!

Gary, do you and Tony also have plans for making it a free download for Forum members as MP3 files, like Paul Wilczynski did with his new CD? I can give you a free download server with lots of bandwidth for the purpose. There is no cost to you for doing this, and since the submissions came in as MP3s to you, you are not out any money at all to do so...

OK, since I was not there and am only "assuming", what were they?

Did it cost professional fees to get it to Gary and Tony?

I of course want to buy the CD, but so far it is not available yet... Image

Can I buy an ISO download of the CD image yet? Heck, that's a download...

None of the submissions were on MP3, as we decided that the quality was not high enough (have you ever tried to master an MP3??). There are no plans at the moment to offer this in MP3 format. All the submissions were sent to Gary on CD (either audio or data) & then sent to me. I have produced a master audio CD & this is the format that we plan to offer

This has taken a LONG time to put together (OK, I know it is my fault), but please be patient for just a little longer & details will be available very shortly on how these will be available & when. The artwork is still to be finalised.

I must admit that I hadn't thought of offering free downloads, although permission would have to be sought from the individual songwriters, but I would have assumed that most members would prefer a 'hard' copy, as a small keepsake.

Thanks Tony! Are you willing to offer an ISO download of the CD itself for a fee that we would gladly pay? Then, we could burn a copy ourselves. This would not depend upon finalising the artwork, then, and would get your finished copy out sooner. Just curious....

Hang in there, Anthony. Looking forward to seeing/hearing the finished product as you originally envisioned it.

I think CDs would be preferable to downloads as us "artistes" want the highest quality possible to show off our music. Image
