I don't know how many of you guys will actually get to Liverpool next summer for "International Beatle Week" but wanted everyone to know that the band I play in, "Working Class Hero" which is a John Lennon trib will be headlining the Sat. evening show @ Royal Court theatre with the Fab Four(the L.A. one's) opening for us. Is that cool or what.... We play at The Cavern the night before!
I haven't been to the Pool since `97 or `98 so looking forward to going back there(even though we've been to the U.K. many times since then).
Beatle Week in Liverpool-2004
Sounds like you have had a bit of good "Beatle Luck", Don. I had my own bit of "Beatle Luck" last weekend, as my brother had left me a big box of old LP's at my parent's home when he visited, and 9 of them were original Beatle albums with 2 copies, an English and American version, of the Hard Day's Night soundtrack. Revolver, Magical Mystery Tour, Sgt. Pepper's LHCB, White Album, Abbey Road, Let It Be, and With The Beatles in Parlophone mono version were included. All were in good to great condition. Several Paul McCartney solo albums and a triple LP Wings Over America album were included, as well as John Lennon's Imagine album. Quite a haul really, including 5 CCR original albums, 4 from Dire Straits, 4 Doobie Brothers, 5 Eagles albums, and 4 Steely Dan albums, plus lots more that would make a lot of Top 100 Pop/Rock Album lists.
Have a great time in Liverpool. Wish I could be there for Beatle Week, but will almost certainly not be able to attend. It seems that Liverpool, and more besides, decided to come to me instead!
