Forum CD info please.....

Post by tony_carey »

I know you have given info on your submissions, but I would be grateful if all on the Forum CD could drop me an email with the following information please..

Forum name,
Song name,
Composer
Band name (if applic)
Musicians names (& instruments)
Rics used & where...ie, solo, rythm etc.

This will help me ensure that I have the vital info to hand. Not sure how much room there will be for info...with 19 tracks, there wont be a lot, but I'll get in what I can. There wont be room for all the equipment, or the recording equipment, but if you want to add that info at the bottom, I would be interested!

Also, a reminder that you all have permission from the songwriter (if not yourself) to allow your recordings on this compilation. It is your responsibility to ensure this. I am certain that no one would object, but I have to say it.

No problem Tony.

Forum name - MyFretless (real name Brad Hague)
Song name - "Christopher"
Composer - me
Band name - none
Musicians - all me
Instruments - I used at 2005 4003JG for the bass. I used a 2005 360VPFG for guitar (strings are flatwound Pyramids). I used compression and reverb and the treble pickup. I programmed a Boss drum machine. Vocals and whistling are me. So all instruments are Rickenbacker (except drum machine).
With regard to this project, you have all rights to copy, issue, and distribute my song and to charge a reasonable production cost as you see fit.

Putting this here as I will forget to e-mail.
Thanks Tony!

As an aside, this was written for my son, Christopher as he wants to be a Policeman when he grows up.

Tony, I thought that I had included all of the original info that came with the various CDs when I shipped them to you (some submitters were going to e-mail me the info) ... I'm pretty sure that I have back-up copies if you need them. I might be able to convert them to pdf files at work and e-mail them to you.

Thanks Gary. You did send the info on, but like you said, some were incomplete. I just thought that as the list was out & I made some mistakes on my inital list (although I did point out that they were due to a rushed effort in getting the running order out quickly), it might be better to have all the relevent info printed out in front of me!
I assumed that no one would mind 're submitting' the info. BTW, did you get my email earlier.....I consider your input as pretty vital to the whole project!

Just got your email....thanks. Sorry my reply is so long winded!

Thanks Mark. I think the CD has such an eclectic mix of genera and styles (based on the list) that it will indeed do some butt kicking! Whenever someone posts a link to listen to their stuff I try, in earnest, to give it a listen. Some are more polished than others and some I like more than others; but on the whole, there are some very nice ditties written/performed by very talented folks here in our little Rickenbacker peanut gallery. Man ya’ just gotta love this stuff!!!

Thanks all. Things are still happening. I have sent both Peter & Gary CD's for their comments & approval, but in the UK, we're having a problem with industrial action with the Post Office!!! I assume neither have received the CD's yet, so bear with us...we're working on it (even if the Royal Mail isn't!)
