The SF CL one is pretty beat up. Also has a replacement pickup up front and a non original guard. I'm considering it.

Don't know if Kenny was going for it or not. Ends up the seller is someone I went to high school with. Played in heavy metal bands for a numbe of years. Selling this one to cover rent, which must suck.

When I spoke to him a couple of days ago it had not sold. I'm in the middle of demolishing my kitchen for a remodel so I was not able to make the drive to buy. Also, I don't really have the funds for the restoration I'd like to do on it using my Alembic pickups so I passed.

Seller never returned my email . If it was restorable I would have paid more than the asking price . Not now . Not interested .

Hey Tim,

If those Alembic pickups you have are the RIC replacements, you have gold there my friend.

I've been trying to get a set ordered from Alembic for MONTHS and the CURRENT MSRP is $1300.00 for the BASIC set. I'm ordering a set with Europa electronics (if I can get Alembic to take the order, that is) and its pushing a good deal more that that!

They are indeed, Tony. I did not know they were asking that much for them now though. I was thinking they ran around $400. Mine have a low pass filter, pan, volume, and a 3 way Q switch. Think that makes it Europa electronics also, though it may be Series 1.

Alembic is having some backlog problems as well. Being such a small company, the "main players" if you will are having some baby & health issues that is keeping them from getting the orders out the door.

I've been trying to get these darn things ordered for about 6 months! I even tried working through a dealer in HOPES that they may have some more influence than I.

I'm taking Jeffrey Scott's advice and getting the SF-2 to make the set complete. The only decision now is which RIC to put them in. As long as it is a TOTALLY REVERSIBLE mod, I'm OK with it.
