Stablemates: Ricks and cars

Post by bassduke49 »

This might be fun! Post pictures of Rick instruments with cars that match, complement, or contrast. I'll start this off with my rare Sea Green 4003 shot next to a VW Karmann Ghia I found. The color is nearly identical. The owner was kind enough to wait while I posed the two together. Let's see what you've got!

How about a "BRT" (Big Red Truck) with an "RBY" (Ruby 360/12 WB)?

No longer my guitar but I believe it is still in the "Forum Family".

It most certainly proudly is, Kevin!

Love the VW and the sea green 4003, Paul. They were made for each other. Image

I've been waiting for the opportunity to use these shots. The guitars involved are a '94 360-12V64 and a '75 4000.

The car is a 2001 GM Holden SS (a variant was exported back to the US under the Pontiac banner). The engine was a Corvette 350 V8. I miss this car Image

That 360v64 12 would have made a nice pair with the V64 6 string you have Howard, would've it!

Paul's "Mink" bass is very close to my F-150.

While not as dramatic as some here is my submission. My '05 Blackened Laredo (excellent work by Paul BTW.....above and beyond expectations) next to my '87 Buick Grand National. I got the car last year with 17K on the odometer and since then it has been "mildly" transformed into quite a beast mechanically but it remains stock outside (except for the pimp tint).

I think they make a nice couple.......

Yes, Ron..... a definite opportunity missed. However, I'm more than happy with the 350/12v63. Image

Actually, Richard, a DCM is close to that color I think.
