Ilan, it's not double bound. I have an identical one from 1979 and the white strip is actually a pinstripe on the finish and not in the binding. This is only the 2 other one I have seen besides mine. It's a;sp not a 70s model. It's at least a 1980 and it's a 4003.

Damn, I might have to jump on this one.

Anyone ever see a mapleglo with black binding, pg and trc?

I have a '76 like that. I suspect it's not original, though it is impossible to confirm one way or the other.

Sean, here's one of the last ones, a beautiful mint 2002 that I owned for about a year. Sold it to Jeff Rath, and it has moved on to a couple different owners since then.

I have a '91 MG/BT which has black binding that I brought to MARF this year (I think Paul took a picture of it).

LOVE that bass. Razor-thin neck!

If I recall, it went from Rath to another Forumite, and he sold it to a guy who is really into John Lennon stuff. Something like that.
