This thread has drifted so far, I've completely lost sight of the shoreline.

Can't use the compass, embrittlement broke the needle right off.

We could follow the seagulls and try to sail back in the right direction until we see land again. Image

Maybe he posted a reply to a thread in the wrong place, and included the text (or possibly email) he was responding to, then links as a signature.

Though it did wander, I did follow. Elys, the reference to the fretboard was a comparison in the text by bw that Chris was responding to.

I still think it was a reply post to a different thread/forum.
