Gary -- thanks for posting the "loosely defined schedule." I want to make sure I get the hanging out time correctly established on my calendar !

May we assume the Detroit Bar or TiaJuana's Long Bar concept of the group migrating to an offsite, friendly, local venue for night "performances" is not happening - or should inquiring minds ask for addresses, locations, directions, etc.

John you look so tiny in that pic!
I remember you being somewhat bigger in person at MARF II.
Nice car by the way!

Richard, one thing limiting an off-site mini-event is that I personally don't have any first-hand experience or knowledge of such venues, and things have not been favorable for me to take on another aspect of the event starting from square one.

As we seem to have hit a wall with live stuff, other than small jams, I could bring the stuff to have a clinic on the4004 VVTT mod and the D-tune Hipshot if anyone is interested in running it. I have the parts and was going to do it before hand, but this might be fun......and quiet.

It hasn't been setup professionally since I got it from POR so we could do the truss roda, bridge etc.

Whatcha think?

C'mon out Mark!!

Since I like JH's idea about having a jam at night at a local venue, I'm going to get info from the two places he mentioned (TiaJuana's Long Bar & the Detroit Bar). Is everyone cool with going to one of these places?

Clinics are a great idea. We did just that at MARF II, with a Scratch-X/Zymol clinic, a cap bypass clinic and an old style truss rod removal clinic, among others.

Case in point, proud papa with newborn TR:

Charly, I'm trying to get past that wall, so everyone let me know if the local venue jam idea sounds cool.
If not, then maybe we'll do Erik's idea of going to Sound Arena. It would be good if could jam at a place where we could also have dinner.

The "clinic" is a good idea.

I am for whatever jamming folks want! I guess one would have booze if some wanted. It makes no dif to me.

I'm not a big jammer, but love to watch and listen, and would love to give it a shot for a song or two.

I could also bring the Scratch-X etc.

Friday and Saturday nights are very busy for bars. I've never heard of TiaJuana's Long Bar, but I seriously doubt that place or the Detroit Bar would be very interested in having a bunch of people there to just jam.

A jam sounds great to me.

If I were a bar owner and someone came to me and said, "I want to bring 25 or 30 of my friends over and we want to jam while were eating and drinking", I'd say okay.

I think the clinics are a great idea. It gives some structure to at least one day of the 'hanging out' time.
