Roger's Sound Engineer

Post by anonymous »

It seems that some of Roger's success during the early days came from the able assistance of his sound engineer. In the following photo (1970) we see an example of the skilled "tweeking" necessary to insure that things are just right for the next take. Please, if anyone knows the name of this sound engineer please send it along.

Peter,
Roger's helper in this photo from the Byrds' "UNTITLED" album is his son, Henry McGuinn. Henry publically released this information on alt.guitar.rickenbacker.

Question: How long has this Rickenbacker Forum been operational?

Thanks Bruce. I was asleep at the switch. I am glad that Henry acknowledged this first. The Rickenbacker Forum has been under Beta testing in another format since the middle of July 2000. It has really only been up for the past few days. Thanks for your post.

Indeed it is. As much as I love 'Sweetheart of the Rodeo', I'm disappointed that it marked (for the most part) the end of McGuinn's synthesizer experimentation. I would have loved to hear what side 4 of the album that 'Sweetheart' replaced would have sounded like ...
My basses are Rickenbackers. My synthesizers and recording gear are analog.
