I was in Lima last winter, am here again this winter (it's summer here, seasons are opposite, and it nevers rains nor snows here, lowest temp is about 55 in the dead of winter) so I don't expect to see any snow again until the winter of 2004-2005, that picture actually conjures up pleasant memories of my youth. It's funny what time can do huh? I'll hate it again after the first snow fall.

City of Lost Angels (L.A.)
No shortage of star power. Got George Harrison's autograph while he was buying underwear. Saw Stevie Wonder, Alfred Hitchcock pull up next to me in cars (neither was driving). Saw Stallone, Micky Dolenz and Loretta Swit at the same polo match (got Micky's 'graph). Got Fogarty's at a gun show. Sat next to Cuba Gooding Jr. at a deli. Doogie Houser. Mike Campbell at one of our gigs. Saw GnR and Dwight Yoakum before they got signed. Saw The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo. Saw a lot of '80's future music stars (that's when I was clubbin' it). A couple of Bangles (saw them when they were the Bangs) showed up for a friend's gig in the '80's (his band, the Lonesome Strangers (RIP) were produced by Pete Anderson, whom I handed a tape of my country tunes to). Rode an elevator with Ricardo Montalban, who I think I scared. Listened to Alanis Morisette's sound check at the Whiskey (we were playing a couple doors down). Saw Arnold in his Hummer. Now he's the Governator. Wasn't Frank Zappa from Lancaster, CA.?

OK, we got 8 countries now, welcome Marcello, you are the first person I've seen from italy in my short amount of time here. I'm sure I'm the only one from Perú and Sérgio is the only one from Portugal. I wonder if there is anyone else here from S. America?

USA (just like almost everyone else) ...

Zappa was born in Baltimore, but started playing music in Lancaster, CA. And yeah, Crack The Sky rule(d)! (But Kix didn't, sorry.) I used to be in a band that covered "All-American Boy" (from 'White Music', my fave of their albums even though it's not a real "band" album).

Crack the Sky! The original bassist, Joe Macre, used a RIC too. Sounds awesome on their first album!

Yeah, Kix was caught doing a Mili Vanilli at one of their shows. HA! I have seen Crack the Sky on numerous occasions. I remember the last time I seen them they brought a magician on stage during a extended version of "Ice". The first album and White Music are my favorites. I also like Safety In Numbers, even though John Palumbo wasn't on it. The follow up to White Music was Photoflamingo. Not quite as good as White Music, but Carey Ziegler plays some amazing bass riffs on it!
