I thought that the Green Day version of "Nearer my God to thee" (as their band barge sunk), was a nice touch.

"In 1972.... I was one year old."

Thanks, Noel! In 1972, I was 20!

You've only got three years on me, JA! I was 17 Image

Course, back then it was a whole world apart - you would have been a senior in high school when I was just a freshman...

JDog, I have not gotten to a real movie theatre in three years. See it all on home theatre after it hits DVD.

But I am happy to live vicariously through you guys if you will Dish about it! Dave seems to be mentioning a truly titanic scene with the band barge Image

Elys, I'm sure you have a great home theatre set up but you should really do yourself a favor and see it on the big screen. I rarely go myself (1, 2x a year maybe) and it's worth it for this one. It looks amazing. I usually go to the first show on a Sunday to avoid crowds.

In 72 I was 10. That seems like ages ago. As for the Simpsons movie, I agree with Jason that it seems like a really long episode. I also rarely make it to the theater. I did have a few really good laughs.. especially Homer's "That's the dumbest thing I ever heard!"
May you always work like you don't need money;
May you always love like you've never been hurt;
and may you always dance like there's nobody watching.

Elys, You need to see movies in digital projection - we have Christie Digital DLP projectors and they do a very nice bright job on a big screen. Besides, once I hit 55 I get the senior discount!
