1980s RUBY red finish

Post by LON »

Was the "Ruby" red finish, Rickenbacker offered in the early 80s a see-through or opaque color...
Ive seen Ruby, but i can remember...
I remembered it as a opaque, RED metalic color...
Its been 10 years ago and Ive only seen it on one guitar a 360....
I have a guitar that Im trying to figure out what color it is....its a light see-through red...

thanks for all your help....

There were two red guitars in the 1980's and 1990's to my knowledge

One was a tomato red color that was opague

the other is 'Ruby' .This was a red tinted clear over a silver base coat .This is a variation on Candy Apple Red ,as done by other makers .

Fireglo is also a red ..but thats well known. and not in this discussion.
So you too want yours "ALAPWOB"?!?!
