Screw and spring for P/U mounting

Post by mikeylc »

Anybody know what size screw and spring are used to mount a 4003 bass neck pickup?

The neck pickup has no spring, it has a rubber grommet.

I usually replace the grommet with a spring ... my old 1968 4001 had a spring stock ... the spring won't dry out and crack like a rubber grommet ...

You might want to try a couple of clay Gromits instead!

Thanks y'all for the help. Yes you too JPS. I now have wallace and grommet under my pickguard. Hopefully they won"t de-value my bass Image

Gromit is so cool. And I've noticed that he's a better actor than most of the over-paid self-loving pretty-boy hollywood tabloid fodder as well.
