Got this 1990 Ricky 360/12V64 last week. Plays good, looks good, but the harmonics on it are sour. I ordered a set of new Ricky strings for it...hope they help! I took it to my guitar tech and he said the neck is twisted (not bowed) and is not repairable....plays good but, its just sour! Any tips?
If it's only got a slight twist, it's possible that the dual truss rods could dial it out. It's also possible that the truss rods are misadjusted, causing the twist.
Dale Fortune helped me with a twist in my 360V64 6 string. He has a procedure which if you follow to the letter, it works. I wrote him off forum and I suggest you do the same. He's a great guy and his knowledge base when it comes to Rickenbacker instruments is unbelievable.
Please don't call it a Ricky though.
