Joey - no worries, I actually love my work. These people treat me better than any employer I've ever had.
Darren - I'm not familiar with the international menus. Naturally, they vary from nation to nation. I can tell you exactly what to order in Florida, though.
Funny thing on a related note: At the Folds/Mayer concert the other night, I was in line for a beer and was quipping some line from Flight of the Conchords in my best Kiwi accent (not great). Some drunk guy standing near by said, "Hey you're not from around here!" in a friendly tone, so I decided to go with it, immediately switched to the slightly easier Oz accent (I'm still working on my Kiwi "e") and carried on a conversation about how I was from Melbourne, and some little chit chat baloney, and said "mate" a lot. He bought it! My friend and I had a good laugh as he walked away, probably proud of himself for his diplomatic efforts. I'm sure you guys would have seen right through me though!

It WAS a very warm day, but the glass was squeaky-clean and not greasy, and the head is always bigger in a really clean glass.
You must be used to drinking in a bar where they don't clean their glasses very well
I only see shamrocks in Irish bars, Guinness in an English bar may well not have a shamrock in it.
A stray horsefly perhaps...from personal experience in a little public house up north in Essex, Harlow IIRC... only noticed what it was AFTER I spit it back out, yuck!

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, and sit in with the band whenever you can, to keep your chops up!

The head doesn't have to be bigger in a really clean glass, Elys. It's a question of how it's poured initially and how long it's allowed to sit before being topped up. According to the brewmaster at Guinness (Fergal Murray) it should take approximately 2 minutes to pour and should have a half inch head that domes above the rim of the glass - preferably a 20oz tulip pint glass.
Now that is my kinda pour!!
