Welcome, John. Nice collection! I've got 4 Ricks and 5 Gretschs myself -- including a 1965 6120!

Welcome, John!

I am also a Gretsch lover--second to my Ricks. Right now 25+ Ricks and 10 Gretsches, but no Gretsches as nice as those babies in your pics. The '57 is especially beautiful. They sure knew how to build 'em back in Brooklyn, hey?

Thanks for the welcomes guys!

I love the old Gretches but the prices are way beyond my pocket now,so I've been eyeing up a new 6120DSW.
I've always wanted a 1955/56 6120 G Brand, but I've never been able to raise the cash :-(
I have a 6120 fixation unfortunately! :-)

I did have a 78 Super Chet and a 96 Country Classic but sold them to my uncle,so at least i know where they are!

I don't know if it's just me ,but everytime i start to look at a new guitar, i get distracted by all the other models!

What started out as a search for a DSW has ened up with me looking at the DS White Falcon's, G400 's
Duo Jets, and Country Clubs, especially the Caddy Green one,it looks so cool!

Infact, that's what happened when i bought my 360V64 last year.
The Gretsch Pages forum was having some problems, and i couldn't get excess,so I started looking around here, well some of the pics posted had me drooling!
So that was me for over a week! :-)

I started looking for them all over the place and finally got one!
Would still like to get hold of a 1997 and a 381V69 though, but that's for the future.
I now have my fav Ricks!

BTW, you guys have some beautiful guitars!
There's nothing like a beer to give you that inflated sense of self esteem.

Hello chilldrens!

Wondered what was going on when I was faced with a "login" page when I came by to see the latest...

I've been lurkin' round here for ... ... well, too long to admit!

I'm happy to see all is in proper working order here - for a minute I thought I lost one of my favorite sites.

Cheers Peter - thanks for looking out for the huddled masses!

Welcome, Ross. New members are "required" to post photo of their instruments! Ha ha! You'll enjoy yourself here even more when you post!
