Not only is it a terrible looking copy, but it also has those SD Rick bass replacement pickups in there. I guess they go together.
As with any other Rickenfaker, two thumbs down from me!!

Seems that Shine copied several other guitar company's designs as well.

the neck on that thing's gotta be long. says 34" scale, but look how far forward the actual bridge is. where the mute would be normally....

These were pulled from the floor/booth at the Winter NAMM in Anaheim. The nerve of these importers.

Joey, care to explain what your problem is with Duncan Pickups? I use them in almost all my guitars and I never had any problem with them.

They even copied the hump in the pickguard. Such attention to detail! Image

I've bought SD pickups more than any others, & will do so again, but the Rick replacements are no match for the original's tone (not to mention more expensive).

The bridge pup did work pretty well for my 4000, taming some of the harshness. Output is quite high, so I had to use the active input on my amp.

SD guitar pups are great, so I had thought that the SRB pups would be a nice addition to my 4001, but they were a bit disappointing compared to the stockers.
Plus five minus five!
