Wow Francesco,

How about offering online bass lessons to go with the videos? Image

Francesco: Here Comes the Sun is marvellous. Thanks for putting a smile on my face once again.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Francesco,

Good job as always! What strings do you use on your Jazz?

yes, my Jazz still has fender factory RW strings ... they are really too bright, growly and much harder than the RIC strings I am used to

I'll put some flats soon, probably TIs as many recommended

TI Flats are indeed great strings, but I think the Beatles Jazz Bass sound involves roundwound strings - the tone you're getting is almost dead on but perhaps a tad too bright, as you said.

You should try TI's on the v63, I think you'll be pleased!

After having rounds on my Jazz for close to 20 years, I'm thinking about going with some Chromes or TI's for a change.

Francesco - wunnerful stuff. Amazing how busy Macca was, even on songs like "Only a Northern SOng".

Amazing player (Macca) played by an amazing player (Mr. Fai)

THANK YOU

Francesco:

Did you try the TIs yet? If so, which bass did you put them on?

Timothy, I came back today from my (short) summer holiday, so I did not try them yet...
I'll visit a couple of big retailers here in Rome in the next days
