I'm tracking with you Mark. I agree it is a ****** thing to do. I was just saying that because it is ****** doesn't make it necessarily false. I remember the sports world saying the same thing about Jose Canseco. Look how that has turned out. He's still a slime ball, but at least he spoke some truths.

...and a Japanese biker lost his leg in an accident.
“I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did.”

FYI, on the whole wife swapping thing, it was John that wanted to swap, not George.

I have read stories of George being the biggest player of all the fabs, and I don't mean guitars.

That's for sure. And perhaps some of those from Europe could chime in, as I'm not sure that they have the puritanical outlook on some of this kind of stuff that some people here have, judging others on it, one way or the other, and the like.

Also, nearly 20 years down the road from such an instance occuring, and when one of the people named has been deceased nearly six years, it's as much history as it is gossip.

Hope you don't mean me--I have enough of my own skeletons to fill a Beatle's closet. I'm just going off on no-name wannabes who stir up nasty news stories for their own day in the spotlight.

I'm not sure that's exactly the case. Everyone who tells a story isn't necessarily a wannabe, or is seeking publicity, especially if the stories they're telling are nearly two decades old.

A surprising story would be the rock star that doesn't have affairs.

So glad I'm not famous. Plenty of talk and people hear what they want to hear, me included.
