Listening to early Elvis turned me on to Rockabilly. Carl Perkins is (was) THE MAN.

I was shocked when he died. I was 13 then, and had listened to him, the Beatles, and the Monkees from a very early age. I think that he started to go downhill when his mother died. He was extremely close to her, and I don't think he ever really recovered from her loss. After so long a time, I think he just lost the will to go on. A sad ending to a legendary talent. May he rest in peace.
I recently went back to playing a Rickenbacker bass. Its like meeting an old friend again

The real Elvis died when Parker signed him by contract to do all those Hollywood Movies. Elvis had always dabbeled in drugs since his go fast truck driver days, and it only escalated over the years. Bad nutrition and the over use of prescription drugs killed the King. It's sad what money and fame can do to a person.

Well, this is kinda difficult for me, but it's all in the family, so what the hell...

This is a glimpse of "The Running of the Elvises" in Minneapolis. Ginger Gilmore is my sister. She's an Elvis impersonator. Yes, that's right. Elvis Herselvis. This has been going on for many years, somewhat after the pro boxing career, and the rasta drummer period.

So, you see, Elvis...is my sister.

You were closer on the first guess--I'm no Austin Powers.

I do, however, have Special Powers. Image
