Timothy:
Although I have always used RIC RW strings on my V63 since it was brand new in 97 the instrument has developed a certain amount of tail lift which is probably less than what you had in the 1st picture...so I am not particularly worried about that...I just want to avoid it gets any worse in case I decide to try some flats.
That's why I wanted to be 100% sure that TIs have lower tension than the rickenbacker RWs

thanks all for the useful informations and for the welcome back Image

I also think adding washers under my tailpiece helped correct the tail lift.

TI's are definitely lower in tension than the Ric RW's, they are very low in tension, when I use them I have to raise the action, but they play nice and are a high output string volume wise so you don't notice the difference, they are bright at first for a flatwound. Pyramids never change much at all right out of the box which is one of the reasons that I like them.

Hello to all. I have lurked for years and will not post often. If it concerns a product I will chime in, but will not offer opinions as I do not want to offend anyone. I hope you understand.
