1973 4001 truss rod repair project

Post by crdeppe »

I'm going to repair the truss rods in my 1973 4001, and plan to document the progress with digital photos. Is there any interest in my posting these somewhere for others to see?

By all means Chris. The detailed photos would be of great interest.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Aha! It would be interesting to see what Chris does, as i have done this myself and all worked out fine in the end. And a 1973 bass too!

There are many things to address. If Chris or anyone else wants a bit of help im sure i can give it , i only fixed mine like 2 months ago

Chris,
Please do.
I'd love to see the pictures and learn something too.

Yeah I had two late 70's 4001's truss rods repaired this year also (which are the same as early 70's truss rods), if you have any questions I'd also be glad to help.

I'll be setting up a web site shortly that will track my progress. I'll announce it here when it is ready.

Thanks for all the help and interest.

The web site is started and up, although there is not much content yet. I'll update it as soon as anything happens (I'm waiting for a piece of brass right now.)
