I will post some pics of the bass completed, once I receive it. I know how much we all enjoy looking at these transformations. Image

Thanks to all of you for following this thread!
Dale's been great to deal with, and his work speaks for itself...

Cheers

Looking at Dale's work i can't help but think that Rickenbacker, should think of having a custom shop headed by Dale.

I love looking at the pic's of his work (and paul's) the level of craftsmanship & care that Dale put's into people's prized guitars & basses is outstanding.I wish he lived in the UK.

Living in the U.K. would be nice, I have relatives in Scotland who would probably take me in, but I would get homesick for friends, loved ones and my Grandchildren. I too would love to see a Rick Custom Shop. I pursued this idea with John and for the time being it's not in the works.

Actually the headstock wings are Walnut. When I used a dark Rosewood stain on the Bubinga and Walnut, the Walnut turned out darker and in the pictures it looks black, but you can see the wood grain thru the stain. The Bubinga would not take as much stain to get it as dark since it is a more dense hardwood.
