You have to love white on white, so simplistic yet, with the headstock, so striking. Very nice work. I would have sleepless nights until this beauty arrives. Congratulations all around.

This bass is the realization of a dream come true for me. It represents the "ultimate" 4001, at least in my mind! In my first post, here on the forum, I mentioned my '68 4001 (HG serial number). I bought it new from Manny's on 48th street, and sold it in the early 80s... something I always regretted doing. Not for monetary reasons, but sentimental ones. My son has just resurrected some old Kodachrome color slides, which my brother shot in the 70s, and guess what I came across...
She's the reason why I love Ric basses so much! In the pics the bass was already ~10 years old. Other than a depression from my thumb nail, along the edge of the pickguard between the pickups, she was still mint. Last seen inside a Zero-Halliburton case, she remains sorely missed!
With that said... I'm confident that Dale is delivering a worthy replacement to such a fine bass. As I stated above... MY ultimate bass!
