I'm sitting in JFK, getting ready to board, and...I'm now delayed 3 hours due to a "mechanical problem". Joy. I hope I don't miss dinner with you guys tonight!

Good Luck John! Hope to see you soon.
May you always work like you don't need money;
May you always love like you've never been hurt;
and may you always dance like there's nobody watching.

I should be getting to the hotel around 6/6:30 Pacific time. With time to kill here, the "festivites" are beginning a little early. Image

What time do the festivities start on Friday? Where are you guys going for dinner tonight? Anyone have plans for later this evening?

Hey Elys, I think that Guinness pic would be appropriate right now. ImageImageImage

Okay, here is what I have envisioned:

Friday 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Nothing scheduled, so it'll be hanging out time.
NOTE: we will be in a different room on Friday due to other scheduling at the hotel. It is only a short distance from the other one, so it's no big deal (although we will have to relocate the gear to the Saturday/Sunday room at the end of the day).

Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Jam Session: 4-7 p.m. (if we can stand it that long). I will be the "sound nazi" with regard to sound levels. I have a sound meter that will be used to make sure that we don't get out of control (the guilty parties know who they are ...:-)). There are rooms nearby and we do want to be "good neighbors" to the other guests at the hotel.

Sunday 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Nothing scheduled, so more hanging out.

Obviously Saturday's plans have changed since then.

Hotel info is here:

I met Graham Griffiths this morning. Still waiting on Darren and Dave with their better halves.

I did do a bit of shopping today while waiting...

I wiped down and tuned the 4004L MID,4004CiiFL and the double neck last night. The 4008CS got a new set of SIT strings with a slightly heavier fundamental E string that sounds noticeably better than the stock strings I was using. I pick up the 4004CiiTR with it's new electronics wired up from Tina at the Amp Shop tonight. Talk about cutting it close. After doing a setup on the TR tonight I'll be ready to roll in the morning. Sieze you guys tomorrow!

Looking forward to checking out how that CiiFL turned out. Just finished polishing up a few basses also...then washed the truck.
