I finally got a picture of my bass family, after finishing the work to black out my '87 4003 as much as possible.
Here's the lineup:
'87 4003 JetGlo - I just put the Hipshot black tuning machines on it last night and have the black Hipshot bridge, black Pickguardian pick guard, vintage style knobs and pickup surround. Also, black straplocks and black/chrome TRC. The only other thing I can still do it blacken the screws. D'Addario Chromes on this one, as I wanted a smooth jazz sound. Now I go for that more with Alembic so maybe I'll put rounds and try a pick again with this one.

'99 Alembic Essence - I really wanted a bass with active electronics and this one is a beauty. It has Europa style electronics setup and nice Bocate knobs. I love how the Bocate top looks like magnetic waves coming out of the pickups! Ebony fingerboard. Rotosound Nickel Rounds on this bass.

'8? Seiwa Bassman P-Bass (Blue) - This was my first bass, that I traded a stereo receiver for around 1987. Since I have started playing again, I have updated every pice of hardware & electronics in this bass. Fender vintage P-Bass pickups, Badass II bridge, tuners, etc. Ernie Ball rounds on this one. I don't look at it as a Seiwa anymore, so I want to strip the paint & logo from the headstock eventually. Great P-Bass!
'07 Fender Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Fretless - I put a Badass II bridge and DR Hi-Bean Flats on this one (they are brighter then D'Addario Chromes for a nice Wah tone). Decent beginner fretless.
'07 Epiphone El Capitan Acoustic/Electric Bass - I tried Ibanez and even Michael Kelly but loved the tone of this one. Great for the front porch!
Here's the whole family...

The only other thing I thought about was to get a 5-stringer but I decided against it and got the acoustic 4-string instead. Maybe next year.
I love the reach of this collection. Many different styles can be played now.
Thanks for checking them out!
