Faces' remake of "(I Know) I'm Losing You" * is one of those rare occasions when the remake was better than the Motown original.

* I guess maybe that's actually a Rod solo song. I'd have to check. But still GREAT version.

That would be The Faces, Mark!

(I haven't watched this one and can't vouch for it, just retrieved it off a YouTube search. But it probably rocks. In a drunken way.)

Thanks Mark!

You should catch that clip if you haven't already.
A little rough around the edges but still a great tune.

I once tried to convince my band to take this one up but there wasn't a whole lot of support by the others so I dropped the idea.
Too bad too, still think it would be a great crowd pleaser.

I wouldn't touch that song...unless the singer could nail it (and wail it), and there was an electric piano in the mix for those opening licks behind the lead guitar. But if you could pull it off...it would be a Killer.

I went out the other night and saw a Zeppelin tribute band called Zed Leppelin. They were surprisingly good. It's not easy finding someone who can sing like Robert Plant all night and hit every high note. My wife and I had a lot of fun dancing. Wish someone could do the same with a set's worth of Faces songs.

No, Mark, no one in my band would sound at all like Rod. So, we couldn't nail it in that sense.

But our lead singer does great versions of some other songs that have unique styles and he pulls many of them off very well.

We had a keyboard player once for about a month or two but that's a long story.
