Doobie Bros.

Post by jps »

I read in the latest issue of Bass Player that Tiran Porter played a 4001 for a while in the band and that he rented a 4005 to record some songs on "The Captain And Me" and "What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits".

Anyone have these albums?

On those late night commercials for the Midnight Special compilation DVDs, I saw a Mapleglo 4001 in play when the Doobies performed "Jesus Is Just All Right." But that's all I knows.
Here is where I hide my music:

Read the same Bass Player article as well, Jeff. I also assumed he was talking about the 4005. Back then it was like renting any other bass I'd imagine, but now with their current value that has likely changed.

I have The Captain & Me. Great record. May be the best one the Doobies ever recorded.
Just because no one understands you doesn't mean you're an artist.
