I really wanted to find a live video of Poor Side of Town, but no go.

In 1987 I went to an outdoor concert in Keene NH. Among a couple of others, on the bill were:

Johnny Rivers: great, professional, exc sound, good band
James Brown: sucked bigtime
Roy Orbison: stole the show... wow.
Chuck Berry: very disappointing

I just heard his version of Maybelline yesterday on the radio, remember it as a kid, great version, is very similar to his version of Memphis which was also great. Joe Osborne playing bass.

What's fun to do is to take some one else's song, like Secret Agent and play it in another's style, say that of Merle Travis. And it can be done, too...signature guitar riff, and all.
