I would also like to extend my thanks to Gary and Joey for all their efforts.

I would also like to thank each of you who attended. It was inspiring to listen to you play, humbling to play with you, entertaining to eat with you, educational to drink with you (I have now almost mastered counting...), and really nice spending time with each of you.

Thanks for all the kind words from everyone. It was my pleasure to be able to help with the confluence and assemble the memory books. I'd like to thank everyone who attended, for making this occasion really special. It was great to see some familiar faces again, as well as meet some new friends. I look forward to seeing all of you again at future confluences. Image

Hey Diane! It was great to meet you I look forward to the next time. You did a great job on the memory books. More than one person was drooling over them. It was a wonderful idea. Until we have the chance to meet again.. maybe the next time you and Joey come back East to visit family you could extend your trip a bit..
May you always work like you don't need money;
May you always love like you've never been hurt;
and may you always dance like there's nobody watching.

I too want to welcome Diane to the forum. However, in my book, she's been a member for quite some time.

"I'd like to echo what everyone just said, e-e-e-cho what they just said...." I realize that most people might not get this but if you do you will laugh your rear off. It's a british comedy radio show thing. Anyway, definitely in agreement with all the kind words towards everyone coming out and the special people that put it together. And I absolutely agree with RC's comment...."fun and joy" indeed. Thanks.

I've just spent a great afternoon here in Melbourne, catching up with Darren and Robyn Trott, going through photos of a truly awesome Socal.
The stories i've heard about how well this confluence was run is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of all involved! Diane and Joey have done a wonderfull job in making it a memorable time for all who attended as well as those of us who couldn't be there! That includes all your work also, Gary!
Nice work on 'Sink or Swim' Joey,..Trotty tells me you "nailed" it!
Huge thanks to Darren and Robyn for thinking of me whilst on their Hawaiin leg of the trip, as they picked me up a Vox Python strap at a local guitar shop that Darren couldn't stay out of! ....AWESOME!
Plans for "OzRick 2010" are underway!

Greg, Trotty was much too kind if he tells you that I nailed it on Sink Or Swim! I think I nailed a couple of mistakes in the song. LOL Though it was a lot of fun playing that song with Trotty, Aitch and Kenny. I hope to do it again next year. Image
Diane didn't do a whole lot really (her own words). She did however stay at the greeting table, helped with the raffle tickets which and put the memory books together.

Welcome back Darren & Robyn, we'll have to have a get together to hear all about what happened this time. Howard was still pumped when I picked him up from the airport, I think he wishes the event went for a week instead of a few days - but would you all have the stamina to survive?

Can we somehow use our magic forces, then push US, UK and Aus closer together?

I guess the confluence accomplished that, even if it was only for a day or two.

We are trying Marc! Both Aitch and Darren have come home with plans for a huge get together in Oz in 2010! Which will give everyone time to save for the trip!
Meanwhile, my new Vox Python strap, courtesy of the Trotts, with its stablemates!
