Congratulations Sean and great work as usual Dale, absolutely amazing. This project further reinforces my decisions to have two basses refinned in white by Paul, and an upcoming restoration of a Jan 73 4001 by Dale, what would we do without these guys?

Forgive my ignorance guys,,but is one of you more of a resoration guy, and the other a finish guy? Or are both of you equally skilled in both fields?
Just wondering,,Im thinking of a project,,and am not sure which to contact.?
And just to make sure this thread doesnt shift on account of my stupid question,,,this bass is over the top!

Thanks guys... she is a stunning instrument.
I will setup/re-string her this weekend, and then run her through my Hiwatt.
I can't wait to hear the HS. It's a hybrid, made with my original shoes and a custom 8K pickup by Sérgio. I also did the VTC mod today... It should sound great, and have a variety of tones available!
Full details to follow... of course

Scott- just have each one do a project for you, it's that easy. Concerning my Jan through June 1973 4001 collection, Dale will be restoring a Jan in trans burgundy, Paul is doing a June for me in bright white, the other four will be original. They will be wall mounted in my future built man-cave and therefore the "bookends" will be resto/refins which I think is great, they will look brand new and will have escaped a fate of eternal desecration. It gives me great pleasure to see these old 4001's brought back to their former glory.(Here's a pic of the inlays on the Jan, thanks Marc S.)
