Hi Mike, Thanks for that Info. Moon Guitars was indeed down that way, I got some pick-ups from him for an early Tokai Jazz copy. Never thought about him re setups which barring in mind he made a lot of pretty high end 6 strings is a little silly of me, I'll have to look him up.
All the best,
Mark

Hi Mark,
Sorry, no, haven't been since 79, been here in the US full time since 90 !
I only ever saw one Ric on the wall, upstairs at McCormacks, I ordered mine from then in 72 and took delivery in 73, other than that I never saw another at the shop till I left in 79.
I did get my in between Bass there a nice Cherry Gibsn EB3.
Not sure if you're old enough to remember the Burn's Howff down Renfield street, used to play in there, great place !!

"It's Red Jim, but not as we know it...."
Burn's Howff must have been a little before my time Jim, I'd have been only 3 and a bit in 73. I played a lot of the better pub/club/venues in my time but not that one.
Must say I like a lot of the Gibson Basses I've heard, Got myself a Epiphone Thunderbird a few years ago, lovely clanky tone that's great for straight ahead rock tunes.
