Up for the taking is a 1981 Dale Fortune Stratocaster that was owned by Carl Verheyen. Carl Verheyen was with Supertramp among many other notables and is one of busiest Session Players in Hollywood Scene!

Here's a link to Carl's website:

http://www.carlverheyen.com/

Dale Fortune is a master luthier who worked for Leo Fender as well as Rickenbacker and went out on his own sometime in the late 1970's. This one bears serial number 00044 and was made in 1981 (8/81 on both the neck and body). The body and neck is signed by Dale as well.

Currently, Dale is up in Beaverton, Oregon and is doing Restorations and refinishing on Rickenbacker's, but I'm sure he still makes a guitar or two every now and then.

It appears to be all original, including the G&L Bridge (The serial number on the bridge dates to 1981) and sports a nicely grained ash body, highly figured maple neck and what appears to be brazlian rosewood fingerboard. I would have to imagine it has been professionally refretted at some point as it now has Jumbo's that are in perfect shape.

There is some wear, but less that you would expect from a 26 year old guitar.

The neck is on the medium side and has a shallow C profile and is nice and straight and low action is the name of the game.

It has interesting wiring that allows for just about every combination imaginable and that gives you just about every tone out there.

The tremolo has been blocked and there is no arm.

This is a professional guitar that was used by one of my Favorite Guitarist out there.

It ships in a Fender Tweed Reissue case (as shown in the pictures).

I will send a letter stating that this guitar was Carl's to the winning bidder.

The winning bidder pays $55.00 to pack, ship, insure within the lower 48 states via FedEx Ground/Home Delivery.

International bidders are to email me with their shipping address that includes a postal code for a rate on shipping. Please do so prior to bidding if at all possible as this will avoid any unwanted misunderstandings!
Personal checks are accepted but must clear prior to shipping. This can delay shipping up to 10 business days.

I ACCEPT PAYPAL, BUT WILL ONLY SHIP TO VERIFIED ADDRESSES. THIS MEANS NO PAYPAL PAYMENTS FROM INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS UNLESS THEY CONTACT ME PRIOR TO BIDDING FOR APPROVAL AND MUST BE FROM BANK FUNDS ONLY.

I ACCEPT INTERNATIONAL PAYMENTS FROM BANK TO BANK WIRED FUNDS, BANK CHECKS AND INTERNATIONAL POSTAL MONEY ORDERS AND PAYPAL PER ABOVE.

NOTE: I ONLY ACCEPT CREDIT CARD PAYMENT VIA PAYPAL.

That is so cool! Beautiful grain on the body, and the back of that neck.... just awesome. Looks like it has a lot of playing time on it too.

Yes but it's a project: a 3000 series neck with a 330 shape body that's been unfinished since the late 70's.. The neck was a trade for a Fender P-Bass neck put onto the 3000 body. I kept the Rick neck and never got around to completing the project. Peter, could you delete the 1st page of this thread since it's a duplicate without a picture link and taking up to much space...Thank you
