Goin' To Chicago
Well, there's so much to tell, and, most likely, so little interest...besides, I've already told most of the really hilarious parts in the "Tempo In A Praise Band" thread...
However, I feel compelled to share just one aspect of the show with you, as it's most bizarre and ironic...guess, if you will, who was interviewed (10 minutes before going out on stage) by two lovely young Indonesian women (who were sent from D.C. to cover the event) for (may I have an awkward, amateurish drum roll please)...
...VOICE OF AMERICA!!!!!
Uh, that'd be me. (That's right: you're tax dollars at work...)

I didn't get where I am today by being on time...
Eee-yikes..."you're" tax dollars? "you're"??? Like in "you are"???? Oh man...(don'tpostat2am,don'tpostat2am,don'tpostat2am)
Aside from that, thanks, Phlemmy...my calves aren't what they were in my surveying days, but I appreciate the kind words. At my best, I could never compete with guys who plow rice fields with water buffaloes and can climb fifty-foot palm trees with their bare hands and feet...
Hmm, Air America...if they caught me in just the right mood...aw, just have their people contact my people...

Hm...I'm not sure what kind of music could be bad*ss enough to justify dressing like that...
(Of course, bro', if that really is you, I take back my glib comment...and I'd have to say you look as if you've had a rougher last six months than I have...)

Nope, sorry dude...even playing Motorhead, that get-up is gonna look...too...oh, how should I put it...
The only way you could make that costume forgivable is to do Diamanda Galas covers...
...which 'I, personally' would line up around the block to see...

Dane, I watched the video (takes a while to load). Not my cup of tea, but interesting and informative. The dancing is reminiscent of hula. I would think that with all that hammering practice, you must all be a very skilled carpenters. Is this you in the green shirt sans beard? (the videographer didn't pan to the left side of the stage).
I gotta go... time plow the beet fields with my water buffaloes can climb fifty-foot pine trees with my bare hands and feet. All in a days work.
