Has Everyone Given Up On Pyramids?

Having tried Pyramids and not liking the feel etc.,about 2 years ago I got a set of T I JS110 to use making up a mutt set(w/ some Ric strings for octaves) for my 370-12 RM, and they are still on it .POTR is currently offering a close equivalent as a made up set.
Due to the onboard compressor, the RM really only sounds right with flats.Round wounds are too bright and sound for lack of a better descriptive, nasaly.
Next string change, I'll probably go even lighter, using gauge sizes provided by Mr.Hall as used in the Maxima days.

When you're going throught hell, just keep going. If you stop you'll be there forever.
I tried the Pyramids on my 325s, but they just didn't feel good to me--too heavy (I know, wuss, right?
.
I tried TIs the first time on my Casino, and when I realized they came in heavier gauges, I decided to try them on my 325s. I'm using 12s, which feel really light on the 325. I haven't tried the TI 13s, but I'd be willing to be they would feel lighter than comparable 13s from others. I had Fender Flat 11s on a Jag that felt like telephone cables compared to the TI 12s.

Lou, not sure the answer is the same for all, but my sense of the topic is that it is mostly focused on the difference between various brands of flat strings. The Rics are nice strings, but round-wound.
I really like the feel and sound from flats on the Ric short scales.

After using a TI hybrid set of Jazz Swing Flats on my 360/12 CW, with great results, I put together a back-up set. However, the first set will probably last so long that I'll forget where I put the second...
I tried a set of TI Blues Sliders on my Strat - the plain strings are really cool (brass plated!) but the wound ones went dull & dead quite fast - FWIW.
