Publicly Thanking Dale

Post by johnallg »

I want to publicly thank Dale for the knowledge and experience he shared with me on a neck problem with my 4003S. It had a high spot around the 3rd fret. After emailing and then talking to him at SoCal 2007 about it, I followed his instructions and pulled the rods, found one with a bend around where it would hit the 3rd fret area, straightened it as best I could, reinserted with the remaining angle away from the fretboard, then checked the frets with a straight edge and very lightly sanded around the area and after getting it all back together I now have a neck that can be put dead flat and no fret buzz!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Dale also gave me a great tip on how to make installing a new truss rod plate into my Turquoise 4003 much simpler...thanks!
