Bending tailpiece - 4 years on

Philip, my 91 4003S MG BT did the same thing with Carvin (La Bella) rounds on it for 3 years in the case. It was that way to me on delivery, not mentioned before me buying it.
I found Gary Clausen's thread on his BT tailpiece lift very helpful. I followed most of what he did - bolted the tailpiece to wood, clamp the rise and keep increasing pressure over time, and then in the end I also drilled out the two holes on the backend to add two more screws, using Gary's template. If you search the forums, it will be there. I also forwarded to you Gary's reply to my email with his pictures and explanation. Gary, I hope it is okay - wanted to save you time and effort rewriting!

Phillip, same problem here with my '92 4003 the tai;piece had lifted badly and my go at bending it back went badly wrong.
Thanks to Gary's template when i bought a new Ric tailpiece i had the two extre screws drilled, and i don't regret it.Now i have my favorite strings Rotosound Swing Bass & my tailpiece flush to the body.
Your '92 Mapleglo looks nice,i think that the necks on the early '90's 4003 basses are nice & thin,i always enjoy playing it.
