Thanks Mitch, Paul.
Mitch- The hi gains might have been the answer. Another way might be to back off the high end. On my Fender Twin, I usually only have the treble at 3, with mids up higher, and with my AC30, I use the tone cut knob pretty much cranked completely counterclockwise in the 7 o'clock position, or closed to that if it's too much. I don't have any problem with squealing feedback. I suppose it depends on the fuzzbox though.
Let's Active was a favorite band of mine. I think I still remember most of the music and lyrics from the first two recordings. I have them on both vinyl and CD.
Paul W.,
I did mean turquoise, but I've seen your custom Aquaglo finish, which is also quite amazing. Hmm.
Steve, that guitar is perfect! Gorgeous. I wonder how many more of those are around? There is obviously at least ONE more since Sylvain Sylvain has one.
Can anyone recommend a 381 color

Steve-
That must be the one! Sure is purty, eh? I bought it new, and was surprised how quickly it arrived after the order was placed.
And, thanks Paul, for the comments! I'm sure you're right about the treble/feedback connection, but then how could I get that essential "Psychotic Reaction"-type tone?? Anyway, the non-problematic old 365 still made me wonder why this new guitar should behave that way.

The guitar- road to ruin?

A bit 'o googling came up with a thread on the RIC corporate forum where a 381 Blueboy owned by Sylvain was discussed.

I posted a video link earlier in this thread. I thought it was Sea Green, but the light's funky in the video so it's hard to tell, it could be Blue Boy. The RIC thread talks about a blue boy 381.
Here's that video link again: http://www.nydolls.org/media/videos/video_popup.php?ID=monkey.mp4
The binding on the Rick in the video appears to be plain white rather than checkered.
Steve, your guitar is gorgeous!

There is no reason to ever be bored.
...why yes, I suppose I do have a double bound guitar fetish...
"Uh, I like the double bounds. . . ."
