OK ..........rare as @$%@&......... but my '65 4001 needs a period correct tailpiece assembly. Anybody have a spare? Image

I have four of them but, I use them to keep my desk from scratching my hardwood floors.

They're not really worth anything on the open market, are they?

If so, ask Jeff Scott. Maybe we can talk him into selling his, and using a Hipshot replacement. Of course one would have to be invented first.

Gee...I was j/k.btw - I'm so out of it, I thought Graham said 4005, that's what made me think of you Jeff...not that you'd rip apart your bass...just to play along..

OK - my punishment - Graham, instead of a vintage correct one, maybe I'll remove the tailpiece from my DCM and chip a tooth out for ya. That should work. I was thinking of putting a Badass on there anyway....

Marc, I thought you were refering to something else.

I did in fact, just this past Sunday, get a '60s 4001 tailpiece. The only problem is, it came attached to a bass! Image

The most interesting thing in Dale's picture is the cut-off headstock wings from a potato head 8 string.
