My band does/had done many TV themes - it was kind of "our thing" for a while, we're kind of tiring of it now. Just last night, we did "Happy Days", "Cheers", and "Duck Tales".

I've always been a fan of the cheesier TV themes, mostly those written by Jesse Frederick: "Perfect Strangers", "Full House", "Family Matters", etc. It's probably because I grew up watching those shows.

As for classics, I have to go with "Those Were The Days" from All In The Family, and "Welcome Back Kotter", by John Sebastian.

The Munsters theme always brings a smile.

Whilst we did not get the TV series over here in UK, or if we did I missed it, I think Nadia's Theme from The Young and Restless as performed by The Ventures is one of my particular favourites.

I believe they did not do the theme on the actual series though.

Duck Tales, that is a pretty kick *ss tune.

For kicks, my band does the Charlie Brown theme.

There have been a few good ones in the last twenty years...I always liked the twangy guitar in the theme from "Twin Peaks". The "Space Ghost" theme, featuring the late, great Sonny Sharrock on guitar and Lance Carter on drums, is right up there with the best. I like both the 'intro' and 'outro' themes from "The Powerpuff Girls"...and if we're gonna talk 'mainstream', "The Sopranos" theme is some top-shelf spooky cool funk.
I didn't get where I am today by being on time...

I really dig the Japanese surf-pop of "Teen Titans".

"I can't believe nobody have mentioned the opening song from "Sopranos"?

"Woke up this morning...""

Reminds me of the Folger's ads - "the best part of waking up..." Which I follow with "is waking up."

Ah yes, "Born Under a Bad Sign" by A3. Awesome.

Folgers, not so much. Give me 8:00 coffee. But I don't want to start a whole thing.
