This film was made right after he was released from Synanon. The Jag was a "graduation" present from friends...

How can he make this notoriously twangy and thin single-coil sound like a Gibson jazz-box??? Amazing!

It's all in the fingers! Also I think he has his tone controls rolled way back much like the Clapton woman tone..looks like he playing a Bandmaster or Tremolux...

That doesn't come from the fingers, George. Tone rolled off, LOUD amp to make up for the lack of definition.

Hear ya John..read all of my post..he's doing pretty much the woman tone. I do always find remarkable though how really great guitarists can sound like themselves no matter what setup they use.
