"How did it go down with the troops, Dane?"
Quite well, Howard...with the ones who were worth their rum ration, anyway...
Incidentally, to avoid panic in the passageways and/or issues of sexual privacy, the Navy does not make use of the phrase "go down" except in cases of dire emergency....and they're not 'troops', they are 'swabs'...or, if you prefer, 'squids' or 'anchor clankers'...
Remember, make fast the mizzenmast (whatever that means)...and if you must chunder, do it over the leeward rail.
BLAAAARRRRRRRRRRGH!

"I never could roll my Arrrr's...was a great source of entertainment and frustration..."
I had a hard time with that as well, but one day WAY back when, my Spanish teacher stood in front of me doing it over and over, spraying spit on me as she did it. I mean, she was just trying to show me how it was done...
I couldn't take it anymore and I blurted out the smart azz remark "Mrs. Miranda, you must be one hot Tamale...your husband MUST love that"..... I was thrown out of Spanish from that day forward....

"Freedom of expression is important, but I have learned that people want to know how much you care before they care how much you know."
The only time a bass player gets noticed is when he stops playing.
