When I spoke with Ben Hall at the SoCalCon last month, he indicated that the vast majority of instruments made at the factory are the "bread and butter" models: 4003, 330, and 360. The other models, including the 4004 (and, I imagine, the mandolin, the 381, and others) get so few orders that their numbers are tiny by comparison. I imagine they wait for orders to pile up some on these less popular models, then they run a good sized batch. Ben has stated that they intend to finish the BlueBurst run by the end of the year, and that the 4004 would be close to last. We'll should know soon.

I'm glad to hear that Ben Hall still thinks the end of the year is a good target. I was worried that, like some other earlier projections made for other models, the date was delayed even further. I'm sure they'll look and sound great, so the wait will be worth it.

Still waiting on a 660/12.

Man, I can't wait to see a 381 BBR. I don't even need to have one. I just want to see one.

'If the BBRs still aren't done, then I'll probably be old and grey before my AFG arrives.'

I keep telling my nephew that he's going to have to play it when mine finally comes because I'll be too old to maneuver it.
Thanks!

Thanks John - I was hunting for that pic. Under the Confluence topic there's a thread called "SARD?" that has a couple pics in it
