Today is the day of an anniversery

Post by will_nesbitt »

Today on the 21st, exactly one year ago, my first Rickenbacker turned up on my doorstep from Holland. Since then, my lefty 620/12 although isn't in the colour I wanted, has helped me improve my playing no end. It sounds gorgeous clean, sounds amazing with distortion and despite being 16 years old, and looks like a previous owner has filed the nut to accommodate regular 12 string layout (octave string on top), had a few patches of paintwork chipped off before my ownership, it's currently doing very well with strings tuned down to drop B, and it's still only on it's 3rd set of strings since I've had it.

I've gotta admit, my Dano just... fits me perfect, however, it just doesn't have that quality, that sound or the overall playability of the Rick.

I'm extremely happy to have spent this year with it in my possession and ownership, and I sure aint gonna be letting it go any time soon.

Looking forward to spending many more years with it, playing it at home, on stage, performing various styles and generally loving it.

Thanks Rickenbacker for designing and building such a great guitar.

Now, time to clean it as an anniversary (apologies for spelling if it's wrong) present Image
I'm a lefty...
