I've seen that video a few times over! you can really hear ther 12 string chime in there. Poor guy on the JL 325 isn't loud enough though! I don't think I've ever really heard or seen a video of someone just playing a 325 on youtube. there's alot of stuff going on in Beatles songs, I can't quite pinpoint the sound of the short scale Rick.

Listen to the intro to "She's a Woman", or the guitar solo in "You Can't Do That". All 325 through a Vox. Good stuff

yup, good stuff. But at the risk of being overly harsh... THIS guy needs to get with the program:

If he really cant sing, maybe they could give him an unplugged mic.... or at least convince him to smile and shake his booty a little ... or something like that. He looks like a casting reject from Night of the Living Dead. Just MHO of course.

Kent - that's EXACTLY what made me smile. Looks a little like John's dad Freddy....

LOL !! ..that's our little tribute Image ...that vid was taken 4 months after
forming the band ...our rhythm player is well aware of his short commings and has
a good sense of humour about it ...Kent..we did exactly what you said...supplied
him a mic at the few gigs we've played ...he's starting to do some backing bits now
and taking vocal lessons Image

...and maybe letting his bangs grow out a little?

haaa... well, give ole 'zombie-face' a thumbs up from me. I too am an old fart who's had the audacity to get up in front of the public and I too am a bit "stage presence challenged".

Er, that ain't a picture of him at a gig? What does he do, wear a tie to rehearsals?

(Incidentally, the 'tie' thing's been the deal breaker between me and every Beatles Tribute Band that's approached me...)

ha ...nope ...that's a rehearsal in the basement ...our 1st gig was a few days later
and we'd never worn suits before so our drummer thought it would be good idea, for this one time,
to get used to feel of wearing them while having to play :P

Well then here are the Beatle tributes that have brought a smile on my face.

The Fab four, they are american but they got the Liverpudlean shtick down and their "Paul" looks, sounds and plays so much like the real thing, it's spooky. He even re-learned playing lefthanded, now there's dertermination.

"Can't buy me love"
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=yzxyV_iVgNo
"Day tripper"

Then there's the "Cavern Beatles" If "the Fab Four" have the most convincing "Paul" then this band has the most convincing "John" This guy NAILS Lennon's voice to unheard levels of perfection.

"Don't let me down"

"In my life" ("John" solo performance)

Much less detailed are the Japanese band "The Beatrips" their "Engrish" is far from perfect and they don't bother with playing the "right" gear not to mention that they are a five piece. But their renditions are simply breathtaking.

"Something" (Check out that solo...)

"Hey Bulldog"
