What settings are you using on your Bass Pod?Is it the original or the new XT model?

I play a 4001CSLH thru a SansAmp Bass Driver DI into an Ampeg Rocket Bass 100. SansAmp settings are pretty much the "SVT" setting shown in the manual.

I use the 1st generation bass pod ... I model the Acoustic 360, drive=2, bass=8, middle=2, treble=8, compression=5, effect=rodent, cabinet=sunn coliseum 8028, ...

as per sans amp level=4, blend=10, treble=4, bass=4, drive=7, presence=4 ... I am still experimenting with the sans amp ...

The sans amp is hotter and has more bite ... but the pod has compression ... and amp modeling ... and presets ...

I've actually been using a 10/12 year old SansAmp DI that you can switch between "Lead","Guitar" and "Bass" on, and it's actually working out pretty well, just started (using it as a pedal, though) so I'm a little unsure about the real specs of it-it sounds great into any amp I've managed to get it into-

my sans amp is the stomp box model ... it has several dials and a on off footswitch ... no saved channels to select or preset ... one input and 3 outputs ...

Mine's got the tiny plastic switches that dictate the effect on the signal,2 mid switches, a classic tube switch, a low drive and 2 or 3 more (real new to this pedal) and then 4 dials, one that's "High","Presence Drive","Amp Drive", and "Output". Really surprised with how well it's working. It really wants to scream, I've found that I have to keep both the "drive" dials way low to keep a nice consistent growl and not let it turn to all-out fuzz- the "High" dial is really all I tweak while playing (from song to song). Much better than the Turbo Rat I had been using, and almost "tied" with the Vox Valvetone that I love (and really need to get fixed, they quit making them)-that Vox is about the best guitar pedal I've ever put a bass through, but I am really having a lot of luck with the SansAmp-I will try their bass driver one day, everything I've seen about it seems to be positive.

I have experimented with the different settings of the SansAmp DI but always wind up using the Ampeg SVT. I own both the original and new Bass Pods. The original is great for gigging, not so great for recording. The new BP XT is great for recording, not so great for gigging.

Here are my settings with my SABDDI and my 4003. I use an Ampeg B-100R, not a GK. I run it flat, except the low boost on.

Oh, I forgot to mention that on the Rick-side, all my controls are at full volume. And when I need a more "boomy" tone (never very boomy though), I turn the tone knob of the bridge pickup lower.

I use the SABDDI as a preamp with my Ampeg, and I use it (and nothing else) for recording. I also had a Bass Pod, but I finally sold it.
