Fender Appraisal Question

Post by lyle_from_minneapolis »

Anyone familiar with the estimated value of a 1987 Reissue Stratocaster in Lake Placid Blue?

'62 reissue? Made in America or Japan?

Oops, what a maroon.

57 Reissue Stratocaster, made in USA in 1987. A one-owner guitar with tweed case and no mods and a ding or two.

I have heard they are becoming more desirable as the years pass.

Depending on condition, they're bringing $900-$1200 and are going up...

I was just watching one in sherwood green in near mint condition with case and candy and it sold for $921 + shipping.

That was a 62 reissue, now that I think about it, not a 57.

I'm not interested in selling it, just curious about its value. Mostly, I wanted to verify if this guy was on crack or not:

Because my guitar is virtually identical, but I thought his price was pretty shocking, although he does give his reasons. I do wonder how desirable these models may become as they age.

With an asking price like that, he's on crack. ;-)

I figured that.

Of course, he could be from the future.
