My Rics, in order of acquisition:
81 330 FG
89 330/12 JG
89 330 Midnight Blue (with black trim & hardware!)
67 365 FG (The sweetest jangler of them all!)
98 4001v63 JG
75 481 JG
93 360/12 FG
98 381v69 MG (The most beautiful baby in my collection....the tone and the sustain are incredible....and the figured maple is about the prettiest wood I've ever seen on any guitar!)
Melissa Breitsprecher
Grand Marais, MN (40 miles from the Canadian border on the north shore of Lake Superior)
By the way, I think this is the first thread I've seen on this forum where there are posts by two other women.... are there any more "Ric chicks" out there? It's kinda nice to know I'm not alone here!

I can't believe this.... Early this afternoon my husband nonchalantly called from work and asked me to check the email, where I found out that he was the winning bidder on the 700C Comstock that was on eBay! This comes as a complete surprise to me (13 years of marriage and that man is still full of surprises!)
Please excuse me while I go bask in this state of Ric-induced euphoria..... Is this love, or insanity, or both?
So....I guess I can add that one to my above list:
01 700C Comstock FG

Jeff Levenson, Southfield, MI:
98 325v63(redone to Lennon specs with vintage 60's parts and reproduction parts). I've got pics of it here at home, but I don't think I've submitted any.
1960 450 Combo(Peter's got pics of it I think). I restored this guitar, but still haven't redone the finish as of yet. Eventually it'll get it's fireglo put back.
1964 615. It's in a case, torn apart.... basically a basket case. I've salvaged parts I got off of it(I bought it originally to use as parts and a project). It's got SUCH a narrow neck, that I don't know what I'll do with it yet.

Thanks, Mortivan and Dave! Yep, I'm pretty thrilled.... Every time he gets me a Ric I am sure it will be my last, but then he surprises me with "just one more!" This is my dream acoustic, but I never thought I would actually see one, let alone own one! BTW, a Sven & Ole's pizza may not be a bad way to celebrate if we can scrape up enough cash after this last purchase! <grin>

Bob: In your case you may have to get it from Amazon. Sorry couldn't resist.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Hmmmm.... First you have to get her set up with a good, profitable home business in order to pay for the Ric(s)--that's how my husband is able to keep doing this! Really, we were just laughing about it last night when I told him that I didn't think a day would ever come when he would pay a lot of money to have a red Commie come to stay permanently at our house to keep me company! <grin> ....He is very conservative by nature, despite his liberal generosity!

Melissa,
Is it too indiscreet to ask you what kind of home business allows to buy so many RICs ?
Could give me ideas for my new activities...
Cheers,
JL

JL,
My husband is a classical numismatist...in English he sells ancient coins, in fact, a lot of Celtic coins from France. You might want to get a metal detector and start digging
LOL. He buys a lot of his coins from France and Germany and turns around and sells them on his site www.ancientimports.com It keeps me in Rics!!
I help do a lot of the clerical and shipping so we are able to do brisk sales and since my husband is a collector by nature he also enjoys the Rics!
