Ampeg 610HLF For Sale in Chicago

Hello Forumites-

A very good (bass playing) friend who sits across from me at work wants to part with his Ampeg 610HLF bass speaker. Its gonna be local pickup in Chicago. Its in excellent condition (he says its perfect). He didn't use it for very long and never toured. It's around 2 years old and US made. He figures around half of its new value would be appropriate, and thinks they sell for around 800 bucks new. He's not into the idea of listing it, having people call him, scheduling time and coming over to play through it. I told him that people can play through one at GC if they don't know what the speaker sounds like. Super nice guy, would be an easy transaction for somebody who knows what they want and can pick it up.

Right place for me, and yet still wrong time. In a couple months after I've moved and have a basement, this would be great. I doubt it'll still be available then, though.
